The Volleyball game was invented by the Director of Physical Education named William Morgan at Holyoke, Massachusetts in the United States on 9th February 1895. Mintonette was the original name given to volleyball by William Morgan and was later changed to the name volleyball in 1896.The first volleyball game was played on 7th July 1896 at Springfield College.
