In 1899, the first commercial hybrid engine was developed by Dr. Ferdinand Porsche. The first hybrid car was invented in 1916 by Woods. In a hybrid car there are two types of engines -an electric motor with battery pack and the engine powered by gas are used. These are fuel efficient and environment friendly cars.
