Around 400 B.C. the Chinese children played with the toy helicopters made of bamboo. The word “Helicopter” was coined in the year 1861 by a French inventor, Gustave de Ponton d’Amécourt who exhibited a tiny shaped steam powered model. In 1907, the first manned helicopter was invented by Frenchmen Paul along with Etienne Oehmichen.
