The first operational windshield wiper was invented in 1903 by Mary Anderson. In the early 1920s, Fred and William Folberth invented the automatic windshield wipers. In the year 1926, the electric windshield wipers were created. In 1967, the intermittent wipers were created and for the first time Ford used it in the year 1978.
