When was the Windmill invented?

Greek mathematician Heron of Alexandria designed one of the earliest windmills in 1 AD. With the help of winds the machine was powered. The French chemical engineer, Camille Alphonse Faure developed the first windmill for electricity production and it was installed by Professor James Blyth of the Anderson’s College in 1887.
