The Softball game was invented in the year 1887 by a reporter named George Hancock during Thanksgiving Day. It was commenced as a winter version of baseball and was first played in Chicago, Illinois. The game is played mainly in the United States and some other countries. Softballs are bigger than the baseball and are played on a large field with nine players of each two teams.
