The three line circle for peace was created in 1958 by a British artist Gerald Holtom. For the nuclear disarmament movement in Britain it was originally created and on 21st February 1958 the design was completed. In the year 1960, it began to be used as a symbol of peace movement in the United States and now the Gerald Holtom’s peace sign is accepted worldwide.
