In 1867, Sylvester Howard Roper made the first motorcycle. The German inventors Gottlieb Dailmer and Wilhelm Dailmer in Bad Cannstatt, Germany in the year 1885 built the first internal combustion, petroleum fueled motorcycle or bike known as Petroleum Reitwagen.
