In 1913, the English born New York journalist, Arthur Wynne invented the first crossword puzzle of diamond shape that was published in the Sunday New York World on December 21, 1913. It is a word puzzle game that consists of white and shaded squares. The white squares are filled with letters by forming words or phrases and clues are solved to find out answer.
