When was the Digital Camera invented?

In 1975, an engineer Steven Sasson invented the first digital camera at Eastman Kodak. But it was not very practical and recorded only black and white images, with a resolution of only 0.01 megapixels. To capture an image it took about 23 seconds. In 1998, the first true digital camera the Fuji DS-1P was produced. Dycam Model 1 was the first digital camera available commercially in 1990.
