The chemist, HA Milton Blake of South Australia in the early 1930s produced a sun burn cream after experimentation. In 1936, the first sunscreen was invented by chemist Eugene Schueller, the founder of L’Oreal and in 1944 a suntan cream was invented by a Florida pharmacist, Benjamin Green.
