On 23rd September 1889, Fusajiro Yamauchi founded Nintendo Company located in Kyoto in Japan. The handmade playing cards called as hanafuda were produced by the company. The Magnavox Odyssey secured the rights in 1974 to sell video game consoles. The company moved into the video arcade game industry in 1975 and designed the first game EVR Race by Genyo Takeda.
