In the year 1965, Kevlar was invented by a woman Stephaine Louise Kwolek at DuPont Company in the United States. Kevlar is a strong and light para-aramid synthetic fiber and in comparison to the same weight of steel it is five times stronger. It is used in helmets, tennis rackets, trampolines, bullet proof vests and other objects of common use.
