Coke was invented in May 1886 by a pharmacist Dr. John Pemberton in Atlanta, Georgia. Frank Robinson, the bookkeeper of Pemberton suggested the name Coca Cola to him. On May 1886, the first soft drink was sold at the soda fountain in Jacob’s Pharmacy in Atlanta.
